IndyCar drivers Josef Newgarden and Conor Daly were both escaped serious injury after being involved in a brutal crash at Texas Motor Speedway.

Newgarden was transported by helicopter to Parkland Memorial Hospital to be examined for shoulder and wrist issues, but was able to climb out of his car on his own.

As the drivers were coming out of a turn, Daly lost control of his car, slamming the nose directly in Newgarden before both slammed into the wall.

Both cars were destroyed as they slid out of control down the track, with Newgarden’s turned onto its side.

Newgarden was fourth in the IndyCar standings coming into the race, while Daly was sitting in 15th.
