Former Texas wide receiver Cayleb Jones is transferring to Arizona, according to YNN Austin's Mike Berman via Twitter.

Berman cites Jones' father as his source.

The Longhorns released Jones in late July, five months after he was accused of punching a Texas tennis player and breaking his jaw. Jones was charged with felony aggravated assault after the February incident involving an ex-girlfriend and her male friend. The charge was later reduced to a misdemeanor.

Upon Jones' release, his father told the Associated Press the high school Under Armour All-American needed a fresh start via a transfer.

Jones tweeted his short list of schools shortly after his release, including Arizona, Auburn, Clemson, Colorado, East Carolina, Florida, North Carolina and UCLA.
