The Lakers tip off the 2013 season on Oct. 29 against the Clippers, but it's looking more unlikely by the day that Kobe Bryant will be in the lineup that night.

Bryant told Lakers.com reporter Mike Trudell that he still can't fully push off the surgically-repaired Achilles tendon in his left leg that he injured on April 12 against the Warriors.

Head coach Mike D'Antoni already said he doesn't see a way Bryant returns by the opener, but the 35-year-old guard continues to rehab with the team as it plays preseason games in China.
