Los Angeles Lakers forward-center Pau Gasol will get an MRI on his right ankle on Monday, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPNLosAngeles.com.

Gasol has had trouble with the sprained right ankle over the past week and sat out Lakers' practice on Saturday in an effort to rest the ankle. After experiencing increased soreness while going 3-15 from the field and recording only five rebounds in the Lakers' loss to the Portland Trailblazers on Sunday, Gasol decided to have doctors take a closer look at the injury.

The Lakers are not scheduled to play another game until Friday, giving Gasol  time to rest the ankle, as well as the sprained pinkie in his left hand.
