Report: Philadelphia looking to trade closer Jonathan Papelbon

The Philadelphia Phillies are placing closer Jonathan Papelbon on the trading block, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

Papelbon is scheduled to make $26 million over the next two years, with a vesting option for an additional $13 million in 2016. The five-time All-Star does have a limited no trade clause in his contract with the team which will allow him to create a list of 12 teams which he can be traded to.

Papelbon has been with the Phillies since the 2012 season after spending the first seven years of his career with the Boston Red Sox. He recorded 29 saves for Philadelphia in '13.
