Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel says the team will rest some players over the last four games of the season to prepare for the playoffs, according to Scott Agness of Pacers.com.

Vogel says Paul George and David West, who have played in every game this season, spoke with him about resting some of the team's high-minute players, adding that he regrets not giving them extra days off over the last month.

"Not everybody will play. We’ll pick our spots over the final four games to get the guys that need rest some rest... I think getting them some rest will make them fresher going into the playoffs. It’s not the answer, but I think it’s part of it."

The third-year coach also gave the starters a break on Tuesday by excusing them from attending practice.
