Steve Ballmer has agreed not to move the Clippers from Los Angeles as part of his deal to buy the team, reports ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

On Thursday, it was announced that Shelly Sterling had accepted a $2 billion bid for the team from former Microsoft CEO Ballmer, who has strong ties to Seattle, and was a part of group that tried to purchase the Sacramento Kings last year in an effort to bring the NBA back to the city.

The league announced on Friday that it would accept the sale to Ballmer pending a vote of the Board of Governors.
