The NBA has announced that Dwyane Wade has been fined $5,000 for violating the league's anti-flopping rule during Game 2 of the NBA finals.

The play in question came in the second quarter, when San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili swiped at the ball and Wade recoiled as if he had been hit in the face, despite replays showing he had not been touched by the defender.

The violation is Wade's first of the season, however, in the playoffs the league no longer issues warning for embellishment, and immediately issues a fine to the player.
