Germany to host Argentina in post-World Cup friendly

U.S. World Cup opponent Germany will face Argentina in a high-profile friendly after the World Cup.

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Germany will host Argentina in a friendly after the World Cup.

The German Football Federation says the match will be played on Sept. 3 in Duesseldorf. The game will serve as a warm-up for Germany's European Championship qualifying matches.

Germany plays Scotland four days later in Dortmund. The Germans then visit Poland on Oct. 11 and play Ireland on Oct. 14 in Gelsenkirchen. On Nov. 14, Germany hosts Gibraltar in Bremen.
