VfB Stuttgart finished 15th in Bundesliga last season. The team's leading scorers were Vedad Ibisevic and Martin Harnik, who scored 10 goals a piece. Stuttgart finished just above the relegation line, so new manager Armin Veh has a tough task ahead of him as he looks to lead the Reds further up the table this Bundesliga season.

This offseason, Stuttgart lost midfielders Ibrahima Traore and Rani Khedira to transfer, but they get back 21-year-old Raphael Holzhauser, who was out on loan with FC Augsburg. The club also completed transfers for midfielder Adam Hloušek, striker Daniel Ginczek and defender Florian Klein.
