Cristiano Ronaldo, the 2013 Ballon d'Or winner (awarded by FIFA to the world's best player), says he is happy with his current club, Real Madrid.

But the 29-year-old admitted he would consider a return to Manchester United, the team he spent six seasons with from 2003-09.

Report: Frank Lampard will join Manchester City on loan

"I love Manchester, and to be back, I never know, you never know. [In] football you never know," Ronaldo told reporters on Saturday, according to ESPN.com. His Real Madrid side will play United on Saturday at the Big House at the University of Michigan, a match in which Ronaldo will not compete. "Of course, I'm happy at Real Madrid, it's my home, it's my club, but Manchester treated me unbelievable, so we never know."

During his time with United, Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 games, won three Premier League championships and the 2008 Champions League title.

He signed a five-year deal with Madrid last season.

"I was 18 years old [when I joined Manchester United]," Ronaldo said. "I win everything there, the people treat me like a God there, so I appreciate that and the future, nobody knows. I remember when we played there against Manchester in the Champions League: They kill me, my heart was so happy.

"I had fantastic moments and I appreciate this club. For me, it's one of the best clubs in the world and I have passion for this club. Some players I am still in contact with, because when I was there, I created a good relationship with everybody, not just the players, but all the staff around. It was like my second family there, so I'll not forget that the people treat me good."
