FIFA charged Luis Suarez for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini’s shoulder during Uruguay's 1-0 group stage at the World Cup and banned him for nine matches and four months for the incident.
Suarez gave a statement to the court last week in efforts to reduce his ban. Suarez admitted biting Chiellini and apologized for his actions.
Suarez has been unable to train for Barcelona’s new season, which starts Aug. 24.
