Watch: Angel Di Maria carves up Germany in World Cup final rematch

Angel di Maria is having a better Wednesday than you.

Just a few days removed from making his Manchester United debut in a scoreless draw with Burnley, the Argentine winger went to work against Germany in a friendly rematch of the 2014 World Cup final.

Di Maria was injured for that game, and had to watch from the bench as Germany claimed its fourth World Cup title. Whether or not that served as motivation for him, Di Maria showed off what might have been with a hat-trick of assists and a goal against the reigning champions in Dusseldorf.

The winger got his party started 20 minutes in, with this exquisite outside-of-the-foot pass to Sergio Agüero for the opening goal.

He followed that up with another perfectly-placed pass on to the foot of Erik Lamela:

And then capped his hat-trick with this curvaceous free kick service to Federico Fernández.

And as if that wasn't enough, Di Maria added a goal of his own with this nifty chip over Manuel Neuer.

Apparently, Real Madrid didn't think it needed a player that can do all those things. The flurry of action at the transfer window deadline means that Di Maria will have Colombian striker RadamelFalcao as the target for those crosses at Manchester United. If Di Maria can keep his form anywhere close to this, that partnership could be a very effective one.
