The agent for Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo said he has no intentions of ever rejoining Manchester United.

Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, insists that he is happy with Real Madrid and says he could possibly play into his 40s. Last month, it was reported that Manchester United was interested in signing Ronaldo, who played for the club from 2003–2009.

The 29-year-old Ronaldo makes about $26 million a year playing for Madrid and would have to take a pay cut and cost United $228 million to have him to suit up for them again.

Mendes says clubs should not even bothering picking up the phone to see about Ronaldo’s availability because he is staying put and wants to finish his career with Madrid.

“Cristiano is very happy at Real Madrid and has always been very happy,” Mendes said on Spanish radio station Cadena COPE, according to the Guardian. “He’s going to break all the records with Real Madrid and he’s going to retire here. He has a lot of love for United because his heart was there for six years, but now he’s only thinking about Real Madrid and he’s going to stay here forever. He’s incredibly happy.”

Ronaldo, who is the reigning Ballon d'Or winner as FIFA’s player of the year, scored his 26th hat-trick for Real Madrid in a 5-0 rout of Athletic Bilbao on Sunday. He has 13 goals in six La Liga matches this season and has 269 goals in 257 games for Madrid.

Mendes said that there won’t be another player like Ronaldo “for the next 500 years.”

“Cristiano’s dream is to win another Champions League. His dreams are always short term. He’s never satisfied and he always wants more,” Mendes said.

Real Madrid is fourth in the La Liga standings with 15 points this season, four behind Barcelona.
