Manager: Sounders' DeAndre Yedlin could move to Tottenham in January
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino said Friday that Seattle Sounders defender DeAndre Yedlin could move to the Premier League club in January, according to ESPNFC.com.
Pochettino said Yedlin's potential move is dependent on defender Kyle Walker's recovery from an abdominal injury. Walker, who hasn't played since March, underwent surgery in September, and his exact timetable for recovery isn't known.
Yedlin signed a four-year transfer deal with Tottenham in August. At the time, it was understood that the 21-year-old was likely to head to the club next summer, but the possibility of a winter move wasn't ruled out.
A potential move in January could be complicated by England's visa rules. Non-European players have to have participated in 75 percent of their national team's matches during the two years previous to a move in order to receive a work permit. Yedlin doesn't fit that criteria, meaning Tottenham would have to file an appeal in order to have him available.

An MLS All-Star the past two seasons, Yedlin made his debut for the Sounders in 2013 and has been a fixture in the lineup since, helping the team to a playoff appearance that season. Seattle is currently tied with the LA Galaxy for first place in the Western Conference.
Yedlin has also made eight appearances with the U.S. national team after debuting with the team in January. He was selected to the USA's roster for this summer's FIFA World Cup and played in the team's group play games against Portugal and Germany and the knockout round loss to Belgium.

Tottenham is currently tied for fourth place in the Premier League, tallying 11 points in seven games.
