Philadelphia Union loans Zac MacMath to Colorado Rapids
The Philadelphia Union has loaned goalkeeper Zac MacMath to the Colorado Rapids in exchange for a second-round 2015 MLS SuperDraft pick, the club announced Tuesday.
The Union received the Rapids' lowest second-round pick in 2015 for MacMath. If the two clubs agree on a permanent transfer, the Rapids would send its highest first-round pick in 2016 to the Union.
MacMath has appeared in 103 games for the Union, producing a 34-39-29 record over his four seasons with the club. In 2014, MacMath started 29 games and went 9-10-10 with five shutouts. He made 77 saves while allowing 45 goals for the Union, which finished sixth in the Eastern Conference with 42 points and a 10-12-12 record.

MacMath also won two games in U.S. Open Cup play, including the semifinal win against FC Dallas in penalties. The Union lost to the Seattle Sounders 3-1 in the Open Cup Final in September.
MacMath also became the youngest goalkeeper in MLS history to reach 100 career starts, doing so on Oct. 11 vs. Columbus.
The Union drafted MacMath with the No. 5 selection in the 2011 SuperDraft.

The Rapids finished last season eighth in the Western Conference with 32 points and an 8-18-8 record, allowing a MLS-high 62 goals.
