Tim Howard targets USMNT return, wants to end career at Everton
Goalkeeper Tim Howard told CNN that he would like a chance to compete for the 2018 World Cup in Russia with the U.S. Men’s National Team and plans to end his career with Premier League club Everton.
He says he has no plans to return to Major League Soccer, even though he was reportedly linked to at least three MLS teams last month.
Howard is under contract with Everton until 2018.
"It's a place where I can achieve the things I want to achieve and push myself every day and I am still hungry for the game,” Howard said. “All of the questions I have been looking for in my career have been answered here. So I think I would like to finish here and then be done. I'm living the good life here at Everton and I don't think I really need to change the scenery."

Howard is on a break from the national team, but hopes to be in goal for the next World Cup as he still feels the passion and drive to compete.
“I was physically strong and mentally I felt motivated to continue and so to be quite honest—I miss it," he said. "I don't know how it's going to end but my plan is to certainly be part of a U.S. team that qualifies for Russia and to be in Russia and be part of that team."
Howard missed eight matches of Everton’s season with a calf injury, and returned last week against Chelsea.
Howard has played in 19 Premier League games this season with 41 saves and three clean sheets.
