Kaká scored Orlando City's first goal in the expansion club's home opener, so it's only appropriate that his expansion-DP-captain counterpart David Villa did the same for New York City FC.

In the club's home opener at Yankee Stadium vs. the New England Revolution, Villa, Spain's all-time leading international goal scorer, worked a slick combination with Ned Grabavoy, sliced through the Revolution defense and beat Bobby Shuttleworth for his first MLS goal in the 19th minute.

Shuttleworth had denied Adam Nemec and Villa on previous occasions with top-notch saves, but there was nothing he could do about Villa's clean effort, as a near-capacity crowd at Yankee Stadium came to life for the first time since Derek Jeter's walk-off in his home finale.
