Watch Harry Kane score in first minute of his England national team debut against Lithuania

It took Harry Kane all of one minute to justify the growing hype surrounding him and his place on the England national team. 

Kane, Tottenham's 21-year-old breakout star, scored a minute after coming on as a substitute in England's Euro 2016 qualifying rout of Lithuania at Wembley Stadium. In the 72nd minute, Kane replaced Wayne Rooney, who opened the scoring for England with his 47th career international strike. 

Kane's goal was simple enough–a free header by the far post after a cross from Raheem Sterling, who did the heavy lifting to spring himself free for the assist:

Kane has been in blistering form for Tottenham this season, leading Spurs with 19 Premier League goals and 29 goals in all competitions. After scoring his first international goal for the Three Lions in such a storybook fashion, it would appear that his hype machine is just getting started.
