Arsenal has the greatest share of Twitter followers in the United States out of English Premier League clubs, according to data released by Twitter.

The Gunners collected 21.08% of Twitter users who follow at least one of the 20 Premier League clubs, while Chelsea and Manchester United round out the top three with 19.68% and 18.02%, respectively.

Geographically, Arsenal seems to be the dominant team in the Northeast and West Coast, while Chelsea has large pockets of support in the Midwest and Texas.

In the United Kingdom, Liverpool reigns with 15.21% to Arsenal's 15.03%, though Arsene Wenger's side controls London, including neighborhoods that house Tottenham and Chelsea.

Though Arsenal is the most popular Premier League team in several non-UK European countries like France and Germany, the North London club faces stiff competition around the world, particularly from Chelsea. The Blues are tops in Brazil with 30.96% and first in Mexico with 30.62%, and Chelsea is also the most-followed Premier League club in Spain, Italy, Portugal and a host of other countries.

Manchester United is the most followed team in India and China, while Arsenal has a strong base of support throughout much of Africa.

The top two teams in the U.S., Arsenal and Chelsea, meet this Sunday at Emirates Stadium. Chelsea currently leads the Premier League with 76 points, while Arsenal is in second with 66 points.
