The last time Brazil played against Mexico, Guillermo Ochoa put on a goalkeeping performance for the ages in holding the World Cup hosts to a 0-0 draw in group play last summer in Fortaleza. The two will officially renew acquaintances in June in preparation for another major tournament in South America.

Brazil will host Mexico in a long-rumored friendly at Allianz Parque in São Paulo on June 7, which serves as a Copa America tune-up for both nations a few days prior to the competition in Chile.

Miguel Herrera's Mexico will play Peru on June 3 in Lima as well prior to kicking off Copa America group play against Bolivia. El Tri will also play host Chile and Ecuador in a tough Group A.

Brazil, meanwhile, will play Colombia, Venezuela and Peru in Group C.

Copa America runs from June 11-July 4, with the winner qualifying for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. Should Mexico or fellow CONCACAF invitee Jamaica win Copa America, the best-placed CONMEBOL team would win the region's Confederations Cup berth.
