Watch: Southampton's Sadio Mane records fastest hat trick in EPL history

Southampton's Sadio Mane recorded the fastest hat trick in English Premier League history on Saturday by scoring three times in just 2 minutes and 56 seconds

Take a bow, Sadio Mane.

The 23-year-old Southampton forward recorded the fastest hat trick in English Premier League history on Saturday by notching three goals in just 2 minutes and 56 seconds vs. Aston Villa. Mane, who scored in the 13th, 14th and 16th minutes, broke former Liverpool great Robbie Fowler's record of 4 minutes and 33 seconds.

The Senegal international also became just the third Saints player to record a hat trick in England's top division. Southampton took a 5-1 lead into halftime, after Shane Long tallied two more for the Saints before Villa's Christian Benteke pulled one back before the break.

Mane now has 10 goals on the campaign for Southampton, which entered Saturday seventh in the EPL table.
