USWNT defender Kelley O'Hara sealed a hard-fought 2–0 U.S. win over Germany in the Women's World Cup semifinal Tuesday when she scored with a volley off a precise Carli Lloyd cross from the end line.

Lloyd got the scoring for the Americans going earlier in the match when she netted a penalty kick in the 69th minute, scoring the winner for the second straight game.

Germany squandered a golden chance to go up 1–0 early in the second half on a Celia Sasic penalty kick, but Sasic missed her shot.

With the victory, the Americans extended their streak of not allowing a goal to 513 consecutive minutes, extending a team record.

The USWNT advances to the World Cup final on Sunday in Vancouver. It will face the winner of Wednesday's match between England and Japan.
