The United States men's national team will host Brazil in an international friendly on Sept. 8 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., U.S. Soccer announced on Thursday.

The game will be held at 8 p.m. ET.

SI.com's Grant Wahl first reported that the USMNT would host Brazil in a September friendly last December.

The United States lost to Jamaica 2–1 on Wednesday in the Gold Cup semifinals. The U.S. now plays Panama on Saturday in a third-place match in Philadelphia.

On Sept. 4, the USMNT will host Peru in a friendly at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

WAHL: After stunner, where does USA go from here?

Brazil and the United States last met in May 2012, when Brazil won 4–1 in Landover, Md. The USMNT is 10–2–2 overall at Gillette Stadium, including a recent 1–0 Gold Cup win over Haiti there.

In June, the U.S. won friendly matches over the Netherlands and Germany.
