Harry Kane had been denied on a pair of occasions from the doorstep, so he opted for the long-range bomb instead to get Tottenham on the board in the MLS All-Star Game.

Kane pounced on a midfield turnover, dribbled at Omar Gonzalez and unleashed a 20-yard rocket by a helpless Nick Rimando to slice MLS's early lead in half following goals from Kaká and David Villa. Rimando had twice made saves on Kane prior to his goal, with the first one being immediately followed by Villa's redirect of Kaká's pass for MLS's second goal.

Kane, who scored 31 goals in all competitions for Tottenham last season, emerging as a breakout star in the English Premier League and earning a place on England's national team, looks to be entering the upcoming season in fine form, if Wednesday's blast is any indication.
