Watch Krisztian Nemeth give Sporting Kansas City the lead over the Portland Timbers in extra time of their MLS playoff clash.

Krisztian Nemeth is no stranger to scoring quality goals in Portland, and his latest came with the stakes rising high.

Nemeth's tremendous goal in extra time gave Sporting Kansas City a 2-1 lead over the Portland Timbers in their one-game playoff Thursday night. Sporting KC forced extra time in the 87th minute, when Kevin Ellis's header brought the visitors level, and Nemeth did the rest on this incredible individual effort, in which he cut back on his defender and roofed a curling, right-footed shot from an acute angle to stun the capacity Providence Park crowd. 

Both goals did not come without some controversy, as both players arguably could have been sent off earlier in the match–Ellis for a harsh early challenge on Diego Valeri and Nemeth for intentionally kicking the ball into the head of Lucas Melano after he had fouled him. 

Nevertheless, Nemeth played the role of hero (until Portland equalized with just minutes remaining) with this effort:

Portland fans are surely sick of watching him play. Shooting on the other Providence Park goal earlier this month, Nemeth turned in another golazo, weaving through Portland's defense before scoring on a low attempt. Unlike his goal Thursday, it wound up being a game-winner:
