Cristiano Ronaldo plans to retire in four to five years
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo plans to retire in four to five years, he toldThe Times.
In the interview, which focused on the recently released documentary on his life titled Ronaldo, the Portuguese striker said following his retirement he plans on “living like a king” with his family and friends.
Ronaldo has three years left on his contract with Real Madrid, where he has played since 2009. In March, SI’s Grant Wahl reported Ronaldo was considering a move to Major League Soccer after his tenure with Madrid ends.
Wahl reported that Ronaldo, who will be 33 in 2018, would likely move on a free transfer, and is most interested in playing in Miami, Los Angeles or New York. Wahl later reported that Los Angeles was Ronaldo's preferred destination if he joins MLS.

In seven seasons with Real Madrid, Ronaldo has become the team’s all-time leading scorer, and has been named FIFA’s best male player three times.
