Watch: West Ham's Payet, Valencia deliver dazzling free kicks in win
West Ham battled back from a 1-0 deficit Tuesday to top Bournemouth 3-1 and climb provisionally within a point of Tottenham for a Champions League place, and the Hammers did so thanks to some magical set-piece work from Dimitri Payet and Enner Valencia.
Each of the attacking standouts delivered gorgeous free kicks to propel Slaven Bilic's side, which won for a third straight league game and is unbeaten in nine straight across all competitions.
Payet did the honors first, bending a scorched, right-footed effort inside the upper left-hand corner from over 20 yards in the 67th minute:
Valencia gave West Ham the lead seven minutes later off an assist from Payet and then finished off the win with a knuckling, looping effort that he knew was goal-bound, based on his "it's good" celebration the moment it left his foot in the 84th minute:
Next up for West Ham is a match at Newcastle on Saturday.
