U.S. Soccer will vote Prince Ali for FIFA president; Canada picks Infantino
For a second straight FIFA election, U.S. Soccer will vote for Jordan's Prince Ali bin Al Hussein.
U.S. Soccer president and FIFA executive committee member Sunil Gulati made the announcement via Twitter on Thursday, endorsing the same candidate for whom U.S. Soccer voted in May.
Prince Ali fell to Sepp Blatter, conceding after the first round of voting did not yield the required majority but left enough of a discrepancy where it was clear how a re-vote would go, with only a simple majority necessary for victory. Prince Ali earned 73 votes in May, and he is believed to be behind co-favorites Gianni Infantino and Sheikh Salman in the pecking order for Friday's vote.

The USA's neighbor to the north won't be following suit. The Canadian Soccer Association announced its endorsement for Infantino, president Victor Montagliani announced.
