FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi scored on a free kick from just outside the box to even the score at 1–1 against Sevilla on Sunday.

With his team trailing in the 31st minute, Messi lined up to take the kick from the left-center of the box. He then easily curved the ball in the right side of the goal, leaving goalkeeper Sergio Rico no chance to react to the kick.

The goal is Messi’s 16th in La Liga this season. 

Barcelona and Sevilla took the 1–1 tie into halftime, but Gerard Pique put Barcelona on top 2–1 with a goal just after the start of the second half.
