Belgian athletes offer thoughts, support after terror attack in Brussels

After a pair of explosions killed dozens of people in Brussels, many Belgian athletes offered their sympathy on social media.

After a terror attack killed dozens of people in Brussels on Tuesday, many Belgian athletes offered their sympathy on social media. 

There were two explosions at the Brussels airport and another at a metro station in the central part of the city. At least 34 people have been killed and over 100 were wounded. 

The Belgian national team, which is scheduled to play Portugal next week in Brussels, canceled Tuesday’s practice. 

Throughout the day, Belgian athletes have tweeted their support for their country.

The attack comes just days after Belgian authorities arrested the man suspected of planning the November terror attack in Paris.
