Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez leads a Mexican team looking to make a splash at Copa America Centenario, but some of his most talented countrymen won't be making the trip.

Carlos Vela and Giovani Dos Santos were omitted from Juan Carlos Osorio's team for Copa America, which was released on Tuesday. Osorio claimed that Dos Santos declined the call in his press conference following the roster release. Dos Santos's brother, Jonathan, was also omitted.

As for those going to Copa America, Chicharito enjoyed a superb season at Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 26 goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga's third-place side. He's joined by ageless defender Rafa Marquez and attacking talents like Andres Guardado, Tecatito Corona, Raul Jimenez and Oribe Peralta.

El Tri, the reigning CONCACAF champion, has not lost or conceded a goal in five matches under Osorio (5-0-0, +12 goal differential) and plays Uruguay, Jamaica and Venezuela in group play.
