U.S. national team's 17-year-old rising star Christian Pulisic scored a late equalizer in Borussia Dortmund's preseason friendly against Manchester City on Thursday, continuing his preparations ahead of the Bundesliga campaign.

Pulisic scored off a short corner, with him receiving the second pass and one-timing a low shot by reserve goalkeeper Angus Gunn in the 96th minute. The match, part of the International Champions Cup, went straight to penalties after the 1-1 draw, and Manchester City prevailed. Pulisic, who came on as a halftime substitute, scored in the penalty shootout as well.

Dortmund had beaten Manchester United 4-1 in its other ICC match, with Pulisic appearing as a 63rd-minute substitute.
