Former U.S. soccer star Lauren Holiday will have surgery to remove a brain tumor recently discovered by doctors, according to the Times-Picayune

Holiday, who is married to New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday, will have the procedure six weeks after giving birth to the couples’ daughter. The tumor is operable and she is expected to make a full recovery.

The tumor is not expected to have an affect on the health of the unborn child.

Holiday will undergo the procedure at the Duke University hospital, and the family will relocate to Raleigh during her recovery period. Jrue Holiday will be taking care of the family during this period, meaning he could miss a significant portion of the NBA season.

Holiday retired from soccer after the 2015 World Cup in order to spend more time with her family. She claimed gold medals with the national team at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.
