Watch: N'Golo Kante gives Chelsea win over 10-man Manchester United in FA Cup

N'Golo Kante's second-half goal punched Chelsea's ticket in the FA Cup semifinals, with the Blues beating Manchester United 1-0.

Chelsea has booked the final place in a star-studded FA Cup semifinals after defeating 10-man Manchester United 1-0 in their quarterfinal at Stamford Bridge on Monday and sending former manager Jose Mourinho tumbling out of the competition.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham ensured that no underdog stories would be carrying on into the semis, and it's Antonio Conte's side that will join them following N'Golo Kante's match-winning goal in the second half. For Chelsea, the runaway leader in the Premier League title race, it continues its quest on doing the domestic double in Conte's first season in charge.

In the semifinals, Chelsea will face Tottenham while Manchester City will face Arsenal.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was the hero early, making a pair of sensational saves. First he turned in a fingertip save on Eden Hazard's sensational individual effort and later delivered a full-extension diving save to deny Gary Cahill from close range, keeping it 0-0.

Manchester United was already dealing with the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic (suspended), Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial (both injured), and the task got more difficult in the 35th minute, when Ander Herrera was sent off. His second harsh challenge on Hazard brought the second yellow card from referee Michael Oliver, brining Mourinho's side down to 10 men.

The incident was enough to bring both managers to the boiling point, with Conte and Mourinho getting into it on the touchline.

Kante delivered the breakthrough for Chelsea in the 51st minute, driving a low, right-footed shot by a diving De Gea and inside the far post to make it 1-0.

Thibaut Courtois kept it 1-0 seven minutes later, when Rashford got free on the breakaway. The Belgian delivered a kick-save to deny Rashford the equalizer after the 19-year-old had beaten Cahill by twisting and turning him in a 1-v-1 situation.

Chelsea turns its attention back to league play and travels to Stoke on Saturday.

Manchester United, meanwhile, still has a European trophy in its sights and hosts the second leg against FC Rostov in the Europa League round of 16 on Thursday before traveling to Middlesbrough in league play on Sunday.
