Monaco clinched its first Ligue 1 title since 1999-2000 with a 2-0 win over Saint-Etienne on Wednesday, with Kylian Mbappe appropriately scoring the eventual game- and title-winning goal.
Monaco entered the day knowing a win or draw would lifts it enough points clear of second-place PSG with one game remaining while the capital club's four-year reign over the French league.
Led by the 18-year-old Mbappe and a cast of players sure to drum up major interest in this summer's transfer window, has Monaco boasted a lethal attack, scoring 104 goals in 37 games on the season thus far.
The club came close to three other trophies this season as well, falling to PSG in the Coupe de la Ligue final and the Coupe de France semifinal while also bowing out of the Champions League in the semifinal round to Juventus.
Monaco fans had a title to celebrate Wednesday, though, and they were feeling the title vibes early, with the club preemptively announcing that 50 Cent will perform at a title-winning party this weekend. Supporters in the stadium were in good spirits prior to the match, too.
Mbappe opened the scoring in the 19th minute off an assist from Radamel Falcao, taking the through ball and finishing on a 1-v-1 opportunity to make it 1-0. The goal was Mbappe's 15th in league play and 26th in all competitions during his breakout campaign.
Valere Germain finished off the triumph with a late insurance strike.
Monaco's season finale comes Saturday at Rennes.
