The one-time Switzerland international made 22 appearances for Hull City last season, however saw his side relegated to the Championship after finishing in 18th position.

Jakupovic will link up with his new team-mates tomorrow in Hong Kong where his new teamates are currently preparing for pre-season.

He is then expected to be assessed by the club's medical staff and finalize a transfer, however it is unclear whether he will be a Leicester player in time to play in the Foxes' opening Premier League Asia Trophy tie against West Brom on Wednesday.

Jakupovic reportedly left Hull City's training camp in Portugal around Sunday lunchtime before flying home as a fee was agreed for the 32-year-old.

After the departure of Ron-Robert Zieler, who left for a fee of £3.5m to Stuttgart last week, Jakupovic is expected to take up the number two spot at the King Power behind Kasper Schmeichel.

The goalkeeper will become Leicester's second signing from Hull already this summer after centre-back Harry Maguire joined for £17m.

The only other major signing that Leicester have made this summer was that of Sevilla's 29-year-old midfield captain Vicente Iborra.

Jakupovic is now expected to join up with Leicesters other new teammates in Hiong Kong, but may not feature until the Foxes return home to play Luton Town on the 26th of July.
