Leicester have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic from Hull for an undisclosed fee.

The 32-year-old has agreed a three-year-deal with the Foxes and becomes the club's third signing of the summer after the arrivals of former Hull teammate Harry Maguire and midfielder Vicente Iborra from Sevilla.

The experienced stopper will meet up with his new teammates in Hong Kong this week as he joins them during the club's pre-season tour.

Jakupovic has played for seven clubs across four countries and impressed for Hull in his 22 Premier League appearances last season.

“I’m very happy and excited that the deal is finally done," he said. "I’m very excited to be a part of something special here and I can’t wait for the first game.

“I knew from the beginning that it will be difficult for myself because Kasper [Schmeichel] is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

“I’m going to fight and I’m here to push. A healthy competition is always good and that’s only a positive thing. For sure, I’ll wait for my chance but I am here and I’m very excited.”

Despite Hull's relegation last campaign, Jakupovic kept five clean sheets and stood out against the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.
