Paris Saint-Germain right back Thomas Meunier reacted hilariously to viral reports that Barcelona and Brazil superstar Neymar may be joining him at the Parc des Princes.
The Belgian, whose position at the club is under threat by new signing Dani Alves, was asked by excitable fans on Twitter about the potential arrival of Neymar in a record €222m deal, and his response was excellent.
He tweeted: “Want to know if Neymar comes to PSG? Send SIGNINGS to 75016, 220m per SMS ”.
Vous voulez savoir si Neymar arrive? Envoyez RECRUES au 75016 (220.000.000 SMS envoyé/reçu) 😂😂— Thomas Meunier (@ThomMills) July 19, 2017
The former Club Brugge full back remains tight lipped on any potential details of the transfer, although he would surely be one of the first to know of any movement.
Neymar's rumoured departure from the Nou Camp to the Ligue 1 club would send shockwaves through the football world, although it is not without its reasons.
The Brazilian is said to be unhappy at being in the spotlight of his teammate Lionel Messi, and feels that the Argentine is stunting his development and affecting his chances of winning the Ballon D'or.
The Parisiens would undoubtedly welcome Neymar with open arms, despite the 25-year-old humiliating them in their 6-1 loss to Barcelona as he put on a masterclass display, as they look to become a serious force in Europe.
