One feature of this transfer window has been how clubs have announced new signings on their official Twitter pages.

Teams have gotten really creative with the announcements, with Roma producing one of their own brilliant entries when they used FIFA 17 to tell the world they had signed Lorenzo Pellegrini from Sassuolo.

Well, the Giallorossi have dipped back into the transfer market and have again plucked a promising talent from their fellow Serie A side, but this time they topped their previous announcement video.

Roma confirmed the signing of striker Gregoire Defrel and have done so by virtually copying Southampton's famous parody video.

However, the Saints used it to tell the world of a much lower profile acquisition, with forgotten goalkeeper Stuart Taylor simply signing a new one-year deal.

Defrel becomes the Giallorossi's latest signing and will be tasked with helping the Italian capital club overcome the loss of talisman, Mohamed Salah, who joined Liverpool for £37m.

The French forward enjoyed a stellar campaign with Sassuolo in 2016/17, scoring 12 goals in 29 league appearances.

The 26-year-old old will join up with Edin Dzeko, who finished last season as Serie A's top goal scorer, as Roma look to challenge Juventus for the Scudetto in 2017/18.
