Federico Bernadeschi is bearing the brunt of a lot of anger from Fiorentina fans after completing his €40m switch to Juventus.
The Viola faithful are annoyed because of comments once made by the player that he wanted to stay for the entirety of his career - a move that seems rather silly now.
As tweeted by Italian football writer Adam Digby, they have voiced their displeasure through the means of a large banner that says: "You split the city with your lies. Now you’ll end up cashing your millions & being strung up by your balls."
Bernadeschi, who carries the nickname Brunelleschi after the famous architect, completed his switch to the Old Lady on Monday, and represents a real coup for the Serie A champions who now have an array of talent in the wide areas.
He follows in the footsteps of Douglas Costa and Juan Cuadrado, who has signed permanently, and his versatility should see him become a useful tool for Max Allegri in the upcoming season as they transition away from a three at the back system.
The 23-year-old scored 11 league goals for Fiorentina last season and things are clearly quite raw with the supporters at the moment.
