Roma and Porto open their Champions League round-of-16 series against one another in the Italian capital when they meet at the Stadio Olimpico in the first leg on Tuesday.
Roma, last season's surprise semifinalist, finished behind Real Madrid in their group, while Porto outlasted Schalke, Galatasaray and Lokomotiv Moscow by going unbeaten (5-0-1) to top its group en route to the knockout stage.
Roma has endured an uneven season under manager Eusebio di Francesco, and it sits in fifth place in Serie A, while Porto leads the Portuguese top flight by a point over rival Benfica.
The second leg will take place in Portugal on March 6.
