Video: Rafael Nadal laughs off opponent knocking over his water bottles

Rafael Nadal defeated Australian journeyman Marinko Matosevic 6-1, 6-2 on Wednesday to extend his winning streak at the Monte Carlo Masters to 43 matches. But the routine victory was not without one unusual occurrence.

With Nadal leading 5-2 in the second set, Matosevic walked over to his opponent's bench on the changeover and intentionally knocked over his water bottles. How would Nadal, who is famous for his meticulous and delicate treatment of his water bottles, react to such insolence? By shrugging and laughing with his box.

''Was a funny moment," Nadal told reporters afterward. “Maybe he thought it affects my concentration.”

It didn't. Nadal went on to break Matosevic immediately to win the match. He'll play Philipp Kohlschreiber on Thursday.

Here's one of my favorite videos of Nadal and his water-bottle obsession. After hitting an incredible winner in Rome in 2009, Nadal actually stops his celebration to fix his fallen water bottles and then resumes his fist-pumping. All this while the crowd is going absolutely bonkers.
