The French men ruled Day 4 of the French Open. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga led the way into the third round, beating Jarkko Nieminen 7-6 (8), 6-4, 6-3 on Court Philippe Chatrier. Gael Monfils followed that up with a strong win over Ernests Gulbis, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-6 (4), 6-2. In total, six Frenchmen rolled into the third round, with Virginie Razzano joining them on the women's side. Allez!

Serena Williams: She kept the crowd silent during her 6-1, 6-2 win over talented French teen Caroline Garcia -- Serena's 26th win in a row. She'll play Sorana Cirstea in the third round.

Ernests Gulbis: Once again, the Latvian played an entertaining match featuring some exciting shot-making, but he couldn't overcome Monfils. "I would rather win in three sets, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2, and that's it," Gulbis said when asked if he enjoyed playing in a match that fun. "Ugly match but easy win for me, I would be more happy."

Gilles Simon and Pablo Cuevas: "Cheer up, Pablo." "No."

Benoit Paire: Tennis Jesus.

Caroline Wozniacki: The Dane lost to Bojana Jovanovski for the second time in three tournaments. The 48th-ranked Jovanovski won 7-6 (2), 6-3.

Serena Williams: She's focused. No doubt about that.

Nicolas Almagro: Dude, you're the 11th seed and won your second round match 6-2, 6-4, 6-3. Calm down.

Young French fans: Whatever gets the kids to the courts, I say.

Roger Federer: Don't let this photo fool you. Federer barely broke a sweat in his 6-2, 6-1, 6-1 win over Somdev Devvarman. He'll play France's Julien Benneteau next.

Milos Raonic: You caption it.
