Photos: U.S. Open fashion hits

NEW YORK -- Color is everywhere at the U.S. Open, whether it's in Roger Federer's "Atomic Red" kicks, Laura Robson's "Ultra Bright" skirt or Venus Williams' neon hair.

Coming off Wimbledon's traditional, staid and proper all-white dress code, the loud splashes of color all around Flushing Meadows are in your face, attention-grabbing and impossible to ignore. Just like New York.

Venus Williams: From the multicolored dress to the shocking pink hair, Venus' ensemble was a divisive one. But count me as a fan. The whole thing works. She looks like she's going to hit a punk-rock cocktail party (those things exist, right)? after her match. (Matthew Stockman/Getty Images)

Laura Robson: While her signature dress for Caroline Wozniacki was a bust, Stella McCartney's khaki and orange kit, which was also seen on Maria Kirilenko, was a fresh and different combination. Andy Murray: The red and black kit (see comments above) made the defending champion look sharp. And kind of intimidating. I'm just glad he ditched the slim-fit shirts he wore for the last eight months. This is a kit that will actually sell. (Emmanuel Dunand/AFP/Getty Images)
