Ana Ivanovic

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Day 7 of the Australian Open belonged to one woman: Ana Ivanovic.

The 26-year-old Serb returned to relevancy with her 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over No. 1 Serena Williams on Sunday, sending fans and pundits searching for copies of the women's draw to figure out what it all means. (Hint: Li Na, Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka are fist-pumping in their sleep.)

But Ivanovic wasn't the only one to score a big upset. No. 29 Flavia Pennetta, who a year ago was watching the Australian Open from her couch while she recovered from wrist surgery, knocked out No. 9 Angelique Kerber to make her second straight Grand Slam quarterfinal.

The men's draw produced no such underdog stories. No. 2 Novak Djokovic, No. 3 David Ferrer, No. 7 Tomas Berdych and No. 8 Stanislas Wawrinka all won their third-round matches, dropping just one set between them.

Here are some of our favorite photos from Day 7 of the Australian Open.

Casey Dellacqua

Casey Dellacqua: It was a heck of an effort for the No. 120 to get back to the fourth round of a major, but Dellacqua's run ended with a 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-0 loss to No. 30 Eugenie Bouchard. (William West/AFP/Getty Images)

Novak Djokovic

Eugenie Bouchard
