Australian Open Day 11 photos: New blood in Grand Slam final

MELBOURNE, Australia -- The Australian Open will feature first-time Grand Slam finalists on both the men's and women's sides.

No. 8 Stanislas Wawrinka earned his spot with a 6-4, 6-7 (1), 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4) victory over No. 7 Tomas Berdych. The 28-year-old Swiss awaits the winner of Friday's semifinal between No. 1 Rafael Nadal and No. 6 Roger Federer.

Meanwhile, No. 20 Dominika Cibulkova dismantled No. 5 Agnieszka Radwanska 6-1, 6-2 to become the first Slovakian woman to reach a major final. She'll face Li Na in Saturday's final. Li, a former French Open champion and now a three-time finalist here, coasted past No. 30 Eugenie Bouchard 6-2, 6-4.
