Photos: French Open fashion hits

PARIS -- The game's best have looked sharp this year at the French Open, where the general design challenge is to find colors that pop against the terre battue with a nod towards the fashion-forward Parisian crowd.

With a good mix of classic lines, bold colors, as well as some adventurous prints some of the game's best like Novak Djokovic, Venus Williams and Ana Ivanovic came out on top.

Novak Djokovic: Hallelujah, the drab monochrome look is over. The Serb looks fresh and sharp in this baby blue and white combination that contrasts well with the earthy-red tones of the clay. (Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)

Rafael Nadal: It's a little awkward that the two men who are heavily favored to make the final are wearing the same soft blue color, but hey, it's a good look. (Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)

Venus Williams: After years of some questionable design choices, Venus' own EleVen label has been consistently delivering some of the best dresses at the majors. This abstract watercolor number was great for Paris. (Matthew Stockman/Getty Images)

Ana Ivanovic: This dress didn't look great in the promotional photos, but it really worked well on the court. Navy blue is always a classic color at Roland Garros, and the back of the dress featured a multicolored design that wasn't as distracting as I thought it would be. (Matthew Stockman/Getty Images)

Grigor Dimitrov: Nike insists on putting Dimitrov in some odd outfits, but this green and charcoal color scheme was an upgrade on the more colorful one he was wearing through the clay season, which looked like a pajama shirt. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga: Adidas gave Tsonga a signature kit in two colorways -- white and blue -- it was perfect for the French No. 1. (Matthias Hangst/Getty Images)

Eugenie Bouchard: Such an upgrade from her ill-fitting Australian Open dress, Bouchard is wearing the same colors as Sharapova -- she's one of the few select players who get to wear the Sharapova collection -- but the loose pink top with the tropical accents are perfect.
