Rafael Nadal captured his ninth French Open trophy with a four-set win over Novak Djokovic on Sunday, extending his record of winning nine French Open titles. The win ties him with Pete Sampras for second on the list of most major titles won by a male player at 14, three titles behind Roger Federer's mark of 17. At 28 years old, he also became the second-youngest player to win 14 Grand Slams.

Before heading to the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany to begin his Wimbledon preparations, Nadal posed with his new trophy in front of the Eiffel Tower on Monday. Decked out in a Nike t-shirt, jeans and red sneakers, Nadal posed for selfies with fans, and treated the new addition to his trophy collection as if it were his first.
