The women's singles seeding for the 2014 U.S. Open Tennis Championships was announced Wednesday. Serena Williams, who has won the event two years in a row, is seeded No. 1, while Maria Sharapova comes in at No. 5.

3. Petra Kvitova
4. Agnieszka Radwanska
5. Maria Sharapova
6. Angelique​ Kerber
7. Eugenie​ Bouchard
8. Ana Ivanovic
